The administrative function of the Municipal Executive Board is to support, provide service, and ensure that laws and regulations are followed within each expert area for our core operations in the municipality. The Municipal Executive Board's administration consists of the departments of finance, administration, HR, communication & growth, and the payroll unit.

The Finance Department in Munkedal Municipality has overall responsibility for driving and developing financial management in the municipality, functioning as internal service within the financial area, and handling procurement. We are looking for you who, together with 9 colleagues, wants to contribute to the development and quality of our financial management processes. The position is located centrally at the Finance Department in Munkedal with inspiring premises and engaged colleagues. Description of the work
As an economist, you will have a broad and varied job. The largest part involves providing qualified and consultative support to budget-responsible managers within the Culture and Education Administration, where you contribute to the administration's financial resources being used in the best possible way. As an economist, you perform investigation and evaluation work within the financial area regarding issues related to budgeting, annual accounts, forecasting, statistics, and reporting. The role also includes explaining financial contexts to non-financial staff, as well as working on further development and continuous improvement of work routines, models, and methods as a natural part of the job.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who
- are an economist with an academic education.
- have previous experience working as an economist.
- have good computer skills, including knowledge of Excel and experience working digitally.
- have experience with the ERP system Unit4 (meritorious).
- have experience working in a politically governed organization (meritorious).
